Personality:
Charming - Rene uses his confident speech and way with words to befriend people. He doesn't like to disappoint so he always finds himself saying yes to any/most requests asked of him. Sometimes he may go out of his way to make it difficult for others to get what they want from him, but ultimately Rene will still do it.
Helpful - While he likes to give people a hard time for making requests, Rene still enjoys helping others when he's needed. If he can make someone's life a little bit better by lending a hand, then he will.
Jealous - He gets very possessive over things he loves. He's not okay with people touching his things without permission and can get very aggressive when it happens.
Trusting - Regardless of who you are, he'll give you the benefit of the doubt until you've wronged him. Rene believes people are innately good and will always believe in them unless proven otherwise. Strangers will always be equated as friends to him and will be treated as one.
Restless - Can't stay in one place for too long or he'll start thinking about inane things. Rene tends to dwell on things too long and it causes him a more stress than needed. He doesn't usually communicate his distress and opts to try to repress all if not most of it.

History: Rene's life growing up was boring. Being an only child he felt the full brunt of his parents disappointment every time he came home with sub par tests scores and grades. Bogged down by high expectations from his parents, he rarely left the house and focused all his time and effort to study. There was no time in his day to spend with his classmates after school, so he found himself without friends throughout middle school and high school. There was always a feeling of longing inside him, but he never had the courage to bring it up to his parents and express how he really felt.

It was when he entered college that he experienced freedom for the first time. Being without his parents for the first time in his life, Rene took full advantage of it. So many new people to interact with was overwhelming at first, but he welcomed everyone with open arms. He wanted to be a people pleaser so whenever someone asked something of him, he always said yes. It was due to his inability to say no that he ended up in Toffee Town in the first place. His friend showed him a flyer he found on the ground and jokingly told him, hey this would be perfect for you! But to Rene, it wasn't a joke, it was perfect.

So without a second thought he found himself on a train to Toffee Town. His first few weeks there were amazing. He was in a sensory overload, every smell, every sight, every person he saw amazed him and he couldn't get enough of Toffee Town. Eventually months passed and Rene settled into what seemed like a normal routine. There was nothing wrong with it, but something in the back of his mind told him there could be more to his life than this. It got him thinking, was it just the initial arrival in Toffee Town the reason why he was so enamored in the beginning? It was new so of course he was excited then, but now nothing was extraordinary to him.

Rene left Toffee Town in search of a place that would excite him the same way Toffee Town did months ago. He remembered how thrilled he was when he left home for college and even more so when he first stepped foot off the train in Toffee Town. It was that same feeling he was searching for. No matter what job he took up, or what new place he stayed at, nothing clicked for him. Months turned into a year and he continued to move from city to city, but still nothing ever felt right.

It was when he was checking his mail that a familiar scrawl caught his eye. ☆ Toffee Town ☆ , come make our home your home it said. That's when it hit him, nothing felt right because Toffee Town was where he belonged. It was a mistake to leave in the first place. Rene was going back home but this time, he would make his life there more meaningful.
